I first want to say WELCOME to my blog!  I am so excited that you have decided to stop here and learn a little more about what I am doing and the journey that Jesus has me on.

You may be asking what the heck is the World Race and what the heck are you doing? (I had the same questions too, don’t worry) The World Race is an 11-month mission trip where my squad and I will be traveling to 11 different counties serving, loving, and telling people about JESUS. How cool is that? I am so excited and expectant of what Jesus is going to do throughout these 11 months. I am scared, nervous, and through the roof with excitement for the journey that is ahead. I am excited to deepen my relationship with my Creator as well as share the love of Jesus with every person I come in contact with.

If you know me, you know that missions is something that, for the last several years, has become a part of who I am. Ever since I went on my first mission trip when I was 15 years old, a little piece of me always knew that missions were going to be a part of a much larger story in my life. I just didn’t know how or when. But here I am now. Ready to chase after a calling God placed in my heart almost ten years ago. I decided to do the World Race; because, why not?

Let me give you a little peek into my world this past year and how I ended up here. I had recently found myself in a season of wondering what was next for me. I graduated from Southeastern University with a degree in Ministerial Leadership just over a year ago.  Since then, I have been patiently waiting on God’s direction and wondering where He has been in a season that has had me feeling completely isolated. On a recent mission trip to Haiti, I was genuinely wrestling with the question, “Where are you God?” and I was met with such a cool interaction with my Creator. It was like I was meeting Him for the first time all over again. I fell in love with who He was and what He was doing in me. I was reminded He never left me; He was there the entire time. Because of this encounter and countless conversations with mentors, close friends, and family, I knew God was on the verge of doing something BIG in me.  God used someone close to me to propose this question, “If you could do something completely crazy for a year, something BIG and BRAVE, what would it be?” My automatic answer was, “EASY, MISSIONS!”  As a result,  I have decided that it’s time to actually do something about a dream God placed in my heart ten years ago, something CRAZY and BIG and BRAVE.  Through much prayer and a lot of in-depth talks with friends and family, here I am ready to give everything I am to Jesus to follow what He has for me, even if it does seem super scary at times. I’m ready!

Isaiah 6:8 says this:
“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ”Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” and I said, “Here am I. Send me.”

So, where will I be going?

Beginning in January 2021, for 11 months, I will be serving Jesus in Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, South Asia, Nepal, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Spain, Argentina, Uruguay, and Chile.

Heres where you come in:

I want to invite you to come alongside me through this CRAZY, BIG, and BRAVE journey. I will be blogging from start to finish. I would love it and be so blessed if you would click the subscribe button above to get updates on what God has me doing.   Please be in prayer for my entire squad (team) and me as we begin to fundraise and prepare our hearts for the upcoming journey. Although we won’t board a plane until January 2021, the journey begins now.  Let’s watch God work….

Here’s to crazy, big, and brave,

Addison
