My support letter is going out this week!! Excited to invite friends and family to join the journey!
Dear Friends,
I hope this letter finds you and your family well. I am sure you will agree when I say we are living in crazy times. I am so glad we have a God who isn’t surprised by any of 2020! Despite the chaos of 2020, I am excited to share some news with you. As some of you may already know, in January of 2021, I have a unique opportunity to share the Gospel all over the world for 11 months with The World Race. You may be asking yourself what is “The World Race”? Don’t worry; I was asking those same questions. The World Race is an 11-month mission trip where my “squad” and I will be traveling to 11 different countries, sharing the love of Jesus and loving His people. We are currently scheduled to travel to Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar, South Asia, Nepal, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Spain, Argentina, Uruguay, and Chile. Because of COVID, there may be some changes to our itinerary based on the countries open to travel in January.
If you know me, you know that being a part of missions is something that has become a part of who I am for the last several years. Ever since I went on my first mission trip when I was 15 years old, a little piece of me always knew that missions were going to be a part of a much larger story in my life. I just didn’t know how or when. But here I am now. I am ready to chase after a calling God placed in my heart almost ten years ago. I decided to be a part of the World Race; because I wanted to step out and do something for God that was BIG and BRAVE.
I want to invite YOU to be a part of my BIG and BRAVE calling. There are several ways you can help me as I prepare for what God has ahead. The first and most important way is through prayer. Prayers for safe travels, prayers for open hearts of the people we come in contact with, and prayers for our squad as we go into the unknown following and trusting Jesus. Another essential part is fundraising. I need to raise a total of drum roll, please, $17,900 to be fully funded (Woah, baby). This cost includes travel (air, land, and sea) lodging, food, and any other necessities I may have while I am away. Seventeen thousand nine hundred. I can’t do this alone. Seventeen thousand nine hundred. This amount is more than God has ever asked me to believe for. Yes, this amount may seem big, but I know I serve a BIG God, THE God who provides and makes a way, even when it’s big. I can trust that He would never ask me to do something for Him without providing the resources to complete the task.
Over the years, God has sent me on short term mission trips. Never once have I not met the fundraising goals. I learned early that some are called to GO, and others are called to SEND, but we are all called to be a part of taking the gospel to the world. My hope is that you will prayerfully consider being a part of my “squad”; the part of the team God is calling to be a SENDER.
