With the God of all creation

You’re bigger than I thought You were

You’re bigger than I thought You were”

 

These lyrics have been playing on repeat in my head this past couple of weeks. Let me give you a recap and share what He has been doing.

 We arrived in Costa Rica about a month ago now, and ever since we touched down here in Costa Rica, I have seen the Lord show up in significant ways. From my team, “The Big Finishers” being placed to work with Edgar in the mountains. I saw how the Lord provided a space for our team to close out a season of planting seeds and finally reaping the harvest. 

 To mini debrief where we had TEAM CHANGES, where the Lord knew what I needed when he placed me on a team with three other FIERCE women of God who have already taught me SO MUCH about vulnerability and seeking the voice of the Lord. 

After leaving mini debrief, we were told we were going into an ATL month (Ask The Lord)–a month of UNSCRIPTED ministry, which means we aren’t working with a structured ministry host this month. We are to seek the Lord’s voice on what to do and where to go. TALK ABOUT TRUSTING THE LORD TO SHOW UP! 

 Again, the Lord has completely blown me away with the fact that He is way bigger than I thought He was. Here is a couple of ways He has shown us that HE is in the details, baby. 

  • Staying at our Hostel for 1/4 of what we should have paid – We Met God as Provider 
  • Having an experience in an Uber that ended up with Cynnie praying and declaring so much truth over our driver’s family. We met God as Kindness. 
  • Getting in contact with several pastors in the area who are eager for us to partner with them. We met God as Faithful.
  • We were offered free lodging for the rest of the month. We met God, once again as Provider. 
  • We got to spend the day playing volleyball with a group of strangers who quickly felt like family. We met God has Family. 

This past month the Lord has shown me how big He really is. He has shown me He cares. Like He really cares about me. He has shown me that He will show up every time. 

I wanted to leave you with this question. In what ways have we allowed our fears or our own self keep us from everything that Lord has from us?  In what ways have YOU allowed your fears or your own self to keep you from everything that the Lord has for YOU??
